Thursday, 04 February 2010 12:13
On 16th and 17th of January 2010, once again seminars were held in the „Centre for Muslim Women: Zainab bint Yash“ on current issues. While in the last years the topics were around marriage conduct, pregnancy, natural birth giving and education of children, the emphasis this year is on educating ones self and developing virtues.
„Everybody can name some positive qualities which we call virtues and which are appreciated universally. However, we are also recognising that these virtues have almost ceased to be an essential part of the lives of people“ explained one of the organisers of the event.
Call for support
One of the main aims of the EMU Foundation and its members is to improve the infrastructure and the services necessary to improve the quality of life for Muslims in Europe. Education and the acquiring of knowledge is one of the most important elements in this regard.
The EMU Foundation has been since its establishment in close connection with educational institutions and men of knowledge all over Europe, like Faculties of Islamic Studies, School Associations, Muftis and Ulama.
We have been recently presented a project, "The Wazania Academy for Muslim Girls", which aims at establishing an academy for girls and young women which we would like to present also to your attention. The teaching activities of the academy will take place partly in Morocco and partly the UK.
